A new design store for the newest HomeKit home accessories is launching in Canada on Friday, the same day that Apple launches the new iPhone and iPad hardware in the US.
The new design stores will be called Nest and will be located in Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary and Edmonton.
“We wanted to make sure that Nest was an opportunity for anyone with a HomeKit set-up to discover what’s new, fresh and innovative,” said Nest CEO John Chen.
The store will be available for download to customers who already have the Nest app, as well as for Apple to make the products available to customers in the future.
“I’m thrilled to have Nest as a home design platform,” said Apple executive Eddy Cue.
“Nest’s ecosystem will be a new home design discovery tool for all home owners.”
The design stores are designed to help Nest customers discover new products that fit their lifestyle, said Nest.
Customers will be able to browse through curated collections of new home products, and use the Nest design store to see which products they like the most and shop for a range of products to find the best fit for them.
“Our goal is to create a home that looks great on the outside and is easy to use,” said Chen.
“This is a great way to get your first HomeKit products and get them into your home as quickly as possible.”
The design stores have a selection of accessories that are designed for home use.
They will be priced between $20 and $35, depending on the size of the home and the accessories that the home has.
The home design store launches in the U.S. on Friday.
