A new Jewish design store is set to open in Jerusalem.
The Israeli Design Store will open in the heart of the Old City on Saturday, April 21, with a two-storey building to accommodate its 250 employees.
The space will have a “design café” where employees will be able to chat and work out their designs with the company’s designer, who will be available to help them.
“We have worked with the design community here in Israel for several years and the demand for affordable design has been growing rapidly,” said Yishai Cohen, a partner at the design company, in a statement.
“We feel that we have found a great place for the company to take advantage of the boom in the Israeli design scene and make it a truly innovative company with a new lease of life.”
According to the design store’s website, it has over 50,000 registered users in Israel and has opened in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Tel-Aviv, Haifa, Ramat Gan and Haifa.
In February, the Israeli Design Shop was named one of The Guardian’s Top 10 Places to Work in Israel.
